The Beginning

Spread the love

So, here it is – my first blog post! 🙂

And here I am – brave enough to speak my mind. Open to begin something new and exciting. Ready to learn and grow, make mistakes and take notes how to do better.

I have a question for you:

Have you ever felt at war with your own heart? I bet we all know this feeling.

For example, you dream about a new career or buying a new house, travelling around the world, become an entrepreneur, learn a new language, etc. Whatever you have on your mind, it’s something that makes you feel alive. It’s a thing you truly want with your heart.

Then, you hear a sarcastic voice in your head:

“Don’t be silly! You don’t have time for this stuff.”

“You are getting old, better stay where you are. It’s safe and you get the money every month.”

“Being invisible is fine. When you cannot be seen, you won’t embarrass yourself.”

Sounds familiar?

I feel you. We’ve all been there.

What we must never forget is:

We have this one life.

I am not sure in the possibility of being reborn. Of course, it would be awesome, if the reincarnation of soul exists. New life, new choices, new lessons and adventures. The freedom to always start over.

The thing is that our future depends on today. Life is always now – living in the yesterday is never a good idea.

I am not a fortune teller, but there is something I truly believe in – We create our own reality.  This means – if we care enough to try and take actions, to learn how to be proactive and consistent at what we do, chances of a brighter future certainly grow.

All begins with the first step.

This very first step could start with some disappointments and difficulties. It could also be surprisingly smooth.

What I know for sure is:

Things won’t be always easy or always hard.

Everything comes and goes in waves. We must prepare ourselves for everything which comes on the way. And it all comes with the experience.

Starting something new might be tricky, though. Sometimes it could even be impossible.

What makes it impossible?

Toxic habits such as:

  • Procrastinating
  • Being too lazy
  • Waiting for other people do what you are supposed to do
  • Thoughts like: “I will start on Monday.”
  • Lack of motivation and ambition
  • Not having a purpose in life
  • Being afraid of failure

Guess what? We are all afraid.

Here’s a kind advise– the next time you start freaking out and bug your head with thoughts like: “My life is a total mess, I suck!” , remember:

” The only person who is standing on your way is you! “

Repeat this quote to yourself whenever you start to panic. Remember how important it is to take responsibility for your own actions. Don’t play the role of a victim.

Don’t be a sad story!

Most of the things depend on you. Once you realize that truly, in your heart, you might be surprised by the potential you’ve been hiding for so long from yourself and the world!

My first post I dedicate to:

  • The ones who crave for a change, but don’t have enough trust in themselves.
  • The ones who finally took The First Step, but then met difficulties and gave up at the very start;
  • The ones with “Impostor Syndrome”, who can’t accept their greatness and find hard to believe that they are awesome.
  • Finally – to the people who got over themselves and took the challenge to live life with more bravery.

But most of all – I dedicate this very first post to myself.

This is me:

I have all issues that are mentioned above.

And still, I find the strength to challenge myself and try harder. Everyday.

It was hard for me to start a blog. It was embarrassing to share my poems online. I’ve made the first step seems impossible so many times. It was extremely challenging to leave all excuses behind.

But today, I did.

“Mishmash by V.” is already a fact.

I still don’t know where it is going to take me, but I’ll always be certain in this –

The best project you will ever work on is you!

I honestly believe that all of us could create the life we want to have.

“Be brave. Even if your not, pretend to be!” – said Jackson Brown Jr.

So, go and be brave! Begin. Now! 🙂

You start to live real, only when you leave your zone of comfort. A great start of the blog. I was definitely motivated by reading your article. I recognized myself in a lot of the things she had written. Good luck with the blog and do not forget, if you can dream it you can do it. :))
